You Can't Force It

Let’s just admit it, sometimes as silly humans we do try to force things and we try to fight reality; especially when we don't want “it” to be how it is.

As a coach, parent or an entrepreneur, really anybody who leads or guides people, whether it's a team of employees, a membership & community, or a mentor that has clients, the one thing we all know is we cannot make people do the work.

We can hold the vision for them, we can cheer them on and we can show them the way - but like the old saying goes, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.”

It’s the same with people; no matter how much you might want “it” for them you just can’t force it. They have to be willing to play a proactive role in their own growth, transformation and healing.

Today on The Karen Kenney Show, we’re talking about loving and supporting people, but from a place of acceptance and understanding that we can’t force them to do even what might need to be done, for their own results, safety, health, happiness or peace.

Sometimes it’s super necessary to take a step back and let the people you love people live out the effects of their personal choices and the consequences of being themselves.
